Membership is assumed if you've posted your url in the dA,AA thread. If you don't want to be notified of updates/changes/competitions just complain and I'll stop bugging you. You don't have to watch the group (but it's recommended), it'll watch you and note you, keeping you updated on things.

Entering Challenges is typical as uploading entries to your scraps or main and noting or journal commenting the link. Please state it's an entry in your comment/note.
The preview sized version of your work will be uploaded to the gallery here, comments disabled and faves and comments directed to your original piece. The club can't guarantee that it won't be faved here, because it can't prevent dumb people.
